Job Title: Software Test Analyst

Job Description: 

Software Test Analysts validate system functionality, ensure interoperability with databases, and handle integration testing (end-to-end). Responsibilities include developing and executing test cases, maintaining traceability to User Story acceptance criteria, executing test plans, compiling test results, and providing quality assurance support.

Key Responsibility:

• Develop and execute test scripts and document test results.
• Conduct multiple phases of testing, including system, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Provide quality assurance support for system development, maintenance, or enhancement.
• Execute automation scripts for mobile, web UI, and web services.
• Analyze system requirements, create test data, and develop test plans to meet customer needs.
• Apply software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including waterfall and Agile.
• Utilize issue and project tracking tools such as JIRA and automated test tools.

Qualifications

• Senior Level:
  • Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting IT system development.
  • Bachelor’s degree substitutes for 1 year of experience; Master’s degree substitutes for 2 years.
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies and techniques.
  • Experience with industry standards and tools for testing software.

  Expert Level:

  • Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience, including 2+ years testing web-based software, EDI transactions, and integrated eligibility systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree substitutes for 1 year of experience; Master’s degree substitutes for 2 years.
  • Ability to lead testing activities, develop automation scripts, and troubleshoot issues.

Desirable:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in communicating complex concepts clearly.
• Ability to work in deadline-driven, high-pressure environments.
• Familiarity with tools such as SQL Server, Microsoft Azure, Selenium WebDriver, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, JMeter, SoapUI, and AI testing tools.
